October Update
Dear friends and family,
Sorry
it has been a while! So much has been happening here I don’t even know where to
begin. We are over halfway through with the Discipleship Training School (DTS)
and it has been cool to see how much the students have grown. Every other
Friday night we all go out and do some street evangelism, so far the students
and staff have been able to share the gospel with many different people and
have even seen two people come to Christ and others return to the church. As
some of you may know I have had a pinched nerve by my right shoulder for over a
year now, which has caused me lots of pain and discomfort. A couple months ago
now someone asked to pray over it and the pain instantly went away and I have
not had problems with it sense, I have been healed, God healed me!!
My
job as Director of Maintenance has been going well, I am learning how to fix
toilets as well as many other small jobs around our base, it seems like
something is always breaking, but God has enabled me enough to figure out how
to get it fixed. This season for me has been trying. Pioneering a new ministry
is hard work and God has been showing me what it means to help serve someone
else’s vision and ministry as well as to work out of a place of rest. My “To-Do”
list never seems to end and someone always seems to need something from me. I
could work 24/7 and still not accomplish all my tasks, but God keeps telling me
to rest amidst all the work. I would encourage you brothers and sisters to
remember to rest and to take a Sabbath seriously. It is a spiritual discipline
and one that helps us not to become burnt out and disillusioned with the
ministry God has called each of us to.
Blessings,
Kylee Nicholas
