Hey guys, sorry it has been so long but many things have happened! I am in Kathmandu, Nepal with my outreach team. For the first month and a half we are here we are working with Agape mission. They have many different ministries that we will be a part of. Here is their website if you want to check them out : http://www.tamiasia.org .

We have been here for about three weeks now and have had many experiences both good and bad. The first week we were here we did some open air evangelism with two other YWAM teams. They performed some dances and people gave their testimonies in between the dances. Dances are a big deal in Nepal and can draw a crowd in a matter of seconds, especially if it is a bunch of white people doing the dances. My team and I handed out gospel tracts and prayed for people. People who were sick and injured asked us to pray for them. We prayed for numerous people and many of them got healed.

These first couple weeks have also been a time of adjusting to the culture and seeing how we work as a team. Kathmandu is very noisy and underdeveloped for a capitol city. We are learning quickly when and how often to shower. There are power cuts and we often have no power throughout the day, the place we are staying at though does have a solar panel so that helps give us power at night. For me the adjustments have not been too diffcult because I have spent some time in developing nations  before and had wosre conditions to live in then this, but for some of my team this is a total system shocker. Besides all the adjustments they have had to endure, things have been going well.

For the health of my team. Clear vision from God about what our next ministry steps should be. Team unity and trust, as well as joy and respect for one another.

Feb. 2017 update

Hello friends and family,             We have successfully completed the second month and the first module (there are four modules total)! The days are getting longer and longer here and I feel that summer will be here before we know it. This past month has been interesting as we all have finished settling in and are finding how we all fit as we do life with each other.  If any of you have ever lived in community then you may know some of the joys and, dare I say it, sorrows that this type of living can bring. June 2017 Update

Hello friends and family, Happy Summer! We have done it, we have made it to the end. This is the last week of GoMidwife Homer, AK 2017. We graduate the students on Thursday the 29 th and everyone will be heading their separate ways by July 1 st . It has been an interesting six months and God has grown me a lot though this past year. As far as staff duties it has been one of the easiest staff jobs I have had, but in regards to interpersonal relationships it has been the most difficult, but God is always faithful and he always brings life and healing if we allow him. I have grown to love Homer, AK and have been involved in an amazing church here. It will be so difficult to leave this place, but I am excited for the future and what God has in store for me next. So, what is next for Kylee? Well I am planning on leaving Homer on July 2 and moving back to Eagle River. Two years later or April Update

Hello friends and family,              *Ok warning. Please bear with me on this one. I’ve already wrote and rewrote this letter three times. It’s hard when you have so much to say to condense it to what you are about to read. April 25, 2015. Two years ago. Man I cannot believe it’s been two years already. I was in Kathmandu, Nepal in a hotel garden when the 7.8 earthquake hit. It happened on a Saturday which was my day off. I had plans to go to this older part of town where the houses are hundreds if not thousands of years old to explore and take photos. God had other plans however. Beauty for Ashes, the company I was volunteering with at the time, had set up a booth at a local celebration for the Dutch expats.
